This page has answers to all of the questions which are most commonly asked regarding our Campsite.
Do I have to be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club to stay with you?
To stay on our campsite, yes. We are a Camping and Caravanning Club Certified Site for members only. If you are not a member you can join online as a member for £45 a year for digital membership at www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk.
(International memberships are also available).
PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to be a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club to stay at any of our Glamping options (Domes or Gypsy Caravan).

Do you take bookings?
We do. You can book via the phone, or check availability and book on our website here.
Can I just turn up?
Yes you can, but at peak times we strongly advise that you call us first to check on availability.
What are the fees per night?
Our charges are £25 a night (pitch only), £30 a night for a pitch with an electric hook-up and £32 a night on our serviced pitch (dedicated water supply and grey water disposal).
How can I pay
You can use your card to book online. We accept most credit and debit cards on our booking system. Cash is accepted on arrival at the campsite. We are unable to accept payment by card once you are on site.
Are you open all year round?
Yes. If we have a period of significant rain or snow, and the campsite becomes unnavigable by car then we may close the campsite until the ground conditions improve.
Can I bring my caravan, motorhome, campervan, trailer tent, tent?
You can; we can cater for all of the above accommodation types.
Can I book a particular pitch?
We are unable to allocate specific pitches to you, as our pitches are not numbered. However if you book our serviced pitch then this pitch is allocated to you on booking.
Can I book adjoining pitches?
When arriving with friends it may, sometimes, be possible to reserve pitches next to each other. However, this must be done with prior arrangement, and may not always be possible if the site is particularly busy
Can under 18s stay at the site?
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Do you accept dogs?
We are a dog-friendly campsite and all well-behaved dogs are welcome at no additional charge. They must be kept on a lead at all times and exercised away from other campers. Please keep your dogs on leads when walking through the farmyard and near our livestock. Once you are away from the farm on the footpaths on the fields then your dogs can come off the leads. Please pick up after your dogs right away.
Do you have a freezer to freeze ice packs?
When requested, we can freeze your ice packs. There is no charge for this service.
Can I have a barbecue?
Depending on the ground conditions, you are welcome to use a barbecue as long as it is raised off the ground. We also have fire pits to use on a first-come-first-service basis. Logs are charged at £5 per bag.
Do you allow fire pits?
Fire pits are allowed. We also have some on site for you to use free of charge. These are available to users on a first-come-first-served basis. If we are experiencing very dry ground conditions then we may need to ban the use of camp-fires due to the heightened fire risk that is associated with dry ground. Please ensure you have a water bucket near you if you are using a fire pit or disposable BBQ. These are available from inside the Bin Store on site.
Can I park my car by my tent/caravan?
Yes, you can park your car next to your tent/caravan. If you have more than one car then please let us know so that we can direct you of where to put the additional car.
Do you have WI-FI?
No, we do not have WI-FI, but we have very good 4G mobile phone signal locally.
What is the latest time we can arrive to check in?
Check out is at 12pm Noon the day you are leaving.
Do you accept group bookings?
Yes, however we do not accept bookings from single sex groups. We are a family site with young children usually staying with us and consequently we also do not accept any stag/hen do’s.
Can I launch my own boat or board in the river cam?
You can access the River Cam from St. John's Lane in Horningsea. Please see the Cam Conservancy webpage with regard to rules of the River Cam and SUPs/Paddleboards: https://www.camconservancy.org
Where is the nearest food shop and pub/restaurant?
There are One-Stop shops in Waterbeach and Fen Ditton and a Tesco’s which is located at Milton (7 minute journey away).
Horningsea has two pubs; The Plough and Fleece and the Crown and Punchbowl, both within walking distance from the site.
There is also a good food offering at the café in the Garden Centre in Horningsea (Scotsdales), which is a 10 minute walk.
